Merge Proposal Function is Glitchy

I posted the same merge proposal four times because the dialog box froze. The feedback box on the right misinterprets the text in the merge proposal as a duplicate topic and shows links to the other proposals.

and then admins approved all four identical merge proposals :man_facepalming:

Yes, i’m seeing that too. I now have duplicate merged proposals in my pending posts and no idea how to get them out of there: Profile - jillmhendrix - Policies for the People

Similar problems, working with another user is seems we have created almost duplicate merged Proposals.
I would suggest a “Merge Proposal Form” This Form would allow a user to select a topic like the “Economy” Section. Then after making that selection being able to go through the “Economy” list of Proposals and click on the Proposals that you would like to Merge. This would populate the template. When saved it wold send a notice to the Originator of the selected Proposals asking for their approval to Merge. If permission to Merge is granted that Proposal would be Merged under the Lead Proposal. A “Lead Proposal” could be a Proposal that would allow, execute or facilitate the following Merged Proposals listed under the “Lead Proposal” The Users Name and original Proposal would be added to a Credits list at the end of the Merged Proposals. Moderators would have the ability to arrange Merged Proposals in nested groups to make searching, reading & responding to the Proposals quicker and easier especially for new Users. Example: Repeal of Amendment 16 for the Lead Proposal. Following Proposals could be, End Income Taxes, Ban Property Taxes, Move to a National Sales Tax etc. The reason to list “Repeal Amendment 16” as the Lead Proposal is it would allow, execute or facilitate this list of Merged Proposals. Please everyone add to and improve as needed, Thanks!
