Meat Processing Plants & Country or origin all meat retail meat sales

A major problem with Beef, Pork, Lamb or Chicken is that we don’t have more local or at least regional processing plants. We have been losing plants instead. Somehow we need to get some money interested in building and operating these. This would allow livestock producers to sell by commercial or private contract. This move would save money for the consumer. It would get more money for the livestock producer. Because the transport cost is greatly lowered and less burdensome those ranchers/ farmers are far more likely to take on regenerative grazing practices with a more cost friendly goal, less burdensome to achieve. That is the way to easily make livestock operations carbon neutral or negative. We also must require all meats received from foreign countries to be in retail stores to be marked with country of origin and be tariffed accordingly. We must give our operations a better opportunity to compete while they transform to a more grassfed existence.
