Remove the red tape and increase the number of processing plants nationwide. Currently there are only 3 that almost all farmers and ranchers must use. Plants should be local, small, and plentiful.

I’ve been a truck driver for eighteen years.And there used to be more beef processing plants than there currently are. And as a truck driver, when I go to these plants and ask why the cost is so high, I have been told that it’s due to the high demand on the limited number facilities. And the limitations on how much they are able to process as fare as quantity goes. The current demand on the limited number of beef processing plants the United States has is way to few for the demand which is artificially raising the cost at grocery store.. We either need to reopen existing processing facilities or build new.
