Under the Biden administration the covid vaccine was added to the list of required vaccines for obtaining a green card. I believe all vaccination should be optional for the green card process and vaccination status should not be used to discriminate against people trying to immigrate legally to the United States. I hope Bobby will change the current policy once he is HHS secretary.

There are some Vaccines that need to be part of entry to the US, ie, polio, measles, smallpox, etc. Vaccines that have been tested and PROVEN to work. This only helps to eliminate the spread of these types of infections. The CV19 vaccine still hasn’t been testing, nor proven that it works and the side effects are more deadly than having the illness.

Requiring any vaccinations is overbearing, imho! If we are worried about what people might bring into this country, we would be requiring vaccination cards (vaccines don’t mean someone is disease-free or can’t transmit!) or testing and quarantining for every international flight, vehicle crossing, or ship arriving in port! And we don’t. I can maybe understand if we tested and quarantined flights coming from parts of the world where there might be a disease outbreak, but we don’t even do that! Diseases don’t check passports and resident status!
Why? What makes people applying for residency any different than tourists or businessmen? It’s silly to require residents to become vaccinated, when something akin to half a million people enter the US daily with no testings or screenings at all!
