Make Vaccine Mandates Illegal

Make Vaccine Mandates Illegal

I propose that the following 2 policy proposals, about banning vaccine mandates, get merged:

Explanation & Justification

These policies are very brief, but are saying the same thing.

I would also like to merge in offering an option for people LEGALLY applying for a green card to opt for a medical screening instead of mandatory vaccinations/immunizations.

Countless people who are here LEGALLY on a visa, applying for a green card, are being told that their application will be denied, unless they receive a whole list of required vaccines, including the Covid-19 vaccine and boosters (last checked and verified on October 11th 2024).

There is no vaccination requirements to enter the US on a VISA, only a medical screening, and some lab work to confirm they have no illnesses is needed before being allowed to enter.

Why is getting vaccinated to get a green card mandatory, after most of these people have been here for legally for years? Shouldn’t getting a second medical screening, like the one they got when entering the US, be enough?

I personally know, and have been in contact with many LEGAL visa holders now applying for a green card that are facing this problem. The current system is stacked against them, leaving them with limited choices:

comply with the vaccination mandate against their will, or abandon their dreams and leave the US to remain vaccine-free. A religious exemption waiver is possible, but from the legal immigrants and immigration lawyers I’ve talked to, very difficult to get, and even strong cases are often denied.

Please consider getting rid of the mandatory vaccination requirement for everyone, including the legal immigrants applying for a green card, whose needs and fears are being ignored by the current system.

Attacking the vaccine schedule and changing the forced schedule (and rolling back liability for vaccine manufacturers) will probably have the downstream effect of changing that for visa/green card holders.

Also, remove the requirement from potential adoptive parents to agree to fully vaccinate a child. There are many loving families that would love to adopt, but are turned away because they cannot in good conscience agree to the current excessive vaccine schedule for children.

For 20 years, my husband played bass professionally as a touring musician. He is a UK citizen and chose not to take the COVID-19 vaccine. Because of his “vaccine status,” he couldn’t get into the US to tour.

After 20 years in the show, my husband was let go and left without a career, support, or compensation.

Since we got married our plan was to live in UK because of his touring schedule, but since he’s no longer in the band, it’s not an issue anymore. Plus we recently welcomed our first child so we want to move to the States to be closer to a support system. But, of course, these unjust mandates are standing in our way AGAIN. A lot of citizens have no idea that vaccine mandates are a requirement for the green card medical exam. It’s appalling that my husband could be refused the right to live with his wife and son in America simply because he won’t take a vaccine that he already refused and it cost him his career.

What’s even more surprising is he could travel to America to visit, but if wants to reside there permanently, he would be forced to take this injection. And our son would also be required to receive vaccines, which we have refused [all] since birth.

It’s not right to have to choose between a vaccine and a green card. Some people may argue that it’s “not forced” because you can “choose” not to get the shot and accept the consequences, but where is the empathy and justice in that?

This policy needs to change. It’s no longer mandated to get into the country to visit, so it should not be mandated on the green card medical either.

I’m so sorry! We need this type of barbaric control to end!

100% - for children, for schools, for workplaces, for Everyone. Informed consent and medical freedom are rights that should not be infringed by government, companies, or world “health” organizations.

Agree. Ban all mandated vaccines for work or school.

  • Pay extra attention to the 4 current states where exemptions are not allowed in public schools or any schools for that matter.
  • Maine is a huge one. No personal, religious, or medical are allowed. Under extreme circumstances is medical allowed and it’s almost impossible to get.

Very sad story. I’m sorry for this useless grief. Thank you for sharing.

I have wanted to go to nursing school for YEARS, but I refuse to because vaccines are REQUIRED during clinicals. I have looked for loopholes, but there is no way around the mandatory vaccines. If there is anyway I could attend nursing school without the vaccines, I would go immediately! Please remove the mandatory vaccines in order to get a nursing degree!

President Trump should withdraw federal school funding from the six states that violated the first amendment by eliminating religious exemptions for vaccinations.

Vaccine mandates for American Citizens need to be made illegal. Only because my CEO decided he would accept my exemption was I able to keep my job with a federal contractor without getting the Covid vax. Others weren’t so lucky. And I should not have been required to apply for an exemption in the first place.

The Bronx Zoo currently requires proof of vaccination and wearing a mask to enter. This is absolutely absurd.

YES! I am a mom of a 2 year old who lives in the state of Connecticut and my daughter is not allowed to attend school in the state unless she follows the exact CDC vaccine schedule. Connecticut is one of 4 states in the country that only allows medical exemptions to the current CDC vaccine schedule for students to attend school. This means that in order for my daughter to attend any school in my state without following the CDC vaccine schedule, she has to obtain a medical exemption by a CT licensed doctor, nurse, or PA. Unfortunately, medical exemptions are basically impossible to acquire and if acquired, only exempt a patient from the vaccine they had a reaction to and require the patient to receive the rest of the vaccines.

To me, this is discrimination. My child is unfairly barred from attending school because I believe in her medical freedom and do not want her to follow the exact CDC schedule (which would mean she would have 26+ shots right now at 2 years old).

This is a major issue in our state/country and a majority of the moms I know are not happy with what is happening. Our options are to homeschool our children or leave the state which would mean leaving our jobs and our families/support systems.

My daughter would absolutely thrive in a school setting. It breaks my heart that she is unfairly discriminated against because her parents did their research and believe in her medical freedom. Also, if our daughter is not able to attend public school, it means I will not be able to go back to work which puts a large financial burden on our family.

More and more families are running into this issue and we need help. It is not ok what is happening. We need change from a federal level.

As a mom to be I have to start thinking about pediatricians, day cares, and eventually schools. My husband and I have been doing a lot of research on the vaccination requirements and I’m appalled by how many vaccinations our children are required to get. I’m skeptical because of the rise in autism, mental illness and overall health for our children. I’m not anti vax but I’m anti 72 vaxs that I feel are completely unnecessary. The flu vaccine should absolutely not be a requirement to enroll in school. I’m 36 years old and have never received the flu shot, I will never receive the flu shot and I want the same for my kids.

How do we create a system for vaccine friendly schools, and day cares?
