Policy Proposal:
Since the Biden/Harris administration, took office traffic violations in our communities went from being enforced to the ‘wild west.’
From frequency of speeding (highway speed in a 25 mile residential zone), stop sign violations, refusal to signal, driving while under drugs and alcohol (RX/Marijuana/alcohol), tailgating, and other unsafe driving behaviors in our residential streets.
These issues have been particularly evident not only locally, but nationally.
Conclusion:
-
Start enforcing our Traffic laws, from speeding, failing to signal, and most importantly driving while under the influence of Marijuana.
-
Speed Monitoring and traffic calming.
-
Public awareness campaign to ask our fellow citizens to have common decency, respect, and morality again.
-
Revoke driving privilege for good for people driving under the influence of Marijuna. If a naturalized citizen, revoke US citizenship.
-
Regular Traffic Safety Audits: Conduct regular traffic audits and community surveys to assess enforcement needs and identify locations that require additional attention.
I believe that these actions will significantly improve traffic safety in our community and reduce the number of accidents and violations in residential neighborhoods. By prioritizing enforcement and promoting safe driving behaviors, we can ensure that our streets remain safe for all residents, particularly the most vulnerable.
