Pretty much as the title says. Lobbying is a huge problem in Washington D.C. and needs to be snuffed out. Any money, favors, promotions, or kickbacks for passing any legislation should be punishable by a minimum of 5 years in prison with no chance at parole. This may seem a harsh punishment (to some it might not seem like enough) but we desperately need drastic consequences to deter this rampant corruption in our legislative process. Whether foreign or domestic; no company, government, entity, or group should be able to sway a politician on how to vote on any legislation by lobbying or giving bribes, funding, favors, or kickbacks of any kind.
Short and sweet version:
No political figure or lawmaker that votes on anything that could become federal or state law should ever receive anything from anyone that would influence them to vote a certain way. They are there to vote according to the Will of We the People NOT for anyone or anything else with special interests trying to profit off of We the People.
