Ban lobbyists from having any influence on any and all politicians Federally. States will have to manage on their own via State legislation.
No corporations should be able to utilize Lobbyists to have laws put on the books. To stop this all donations straight from corporations (no matter size) will not be allowed to donate to any political figure or political party or any family member. Donations shall only come directly from the people not the corporations. Any and all charity foundations connected to or set up by a politician or any family members shall not be utilized to donate money to any politician or political party.
This is huge!
Totally concur. The current rhinos will identify themselves very early by how they got. We need to target these ppl and get them out of office so we can get some real problem solving going on. Wtp ( we the people ) used to go on eyeoncongress.com to see where the money came from and how they voted , this website magically went off line. Ie my rep voted for the Fbi to get a new building fraud waste & abuse is off the charts. When will gao do their job. I say we confiscate the mass of fortunes accumilated by these treasonists and apply it to our 34 trillion $ us debt and abolish the Irs.
I have been saying this for years. Anyone who profits from corruption should go to jail and the people who offer the bribery/corruption should also go to jail.
Congressman and senators need to live and work from their home districts - not DC. That would make lobbying almost impossible, and representatives would be in touch with the needs of their constituents. Donations would dry up if they were not profitable.
If you like it, can you vote and comment? Representatives work in their districts - not DC
Citizens United allows corporate money in politics, but we could start reducing this influence by banning PACs. Another step is to keep lobbyists from having any influence on federal politicians, while states set their own rules. Corporations, no matter their size, shouldn’t be allowed to donate directly or indirectly to politicians, political parties, or family members. All political donations should come only from individual citizens. Politicians and their families also shouldn’t be able to use charities to funnel money into campaigns.
At the same time, grassroots movements—like Charlie Kirk’s organization or Scott Presler’s efforts in Pennsylvania—should be protected, as they engage citizens directly. But we’ll need careful rules to ensure these movements stay genuine and aren’t exploited by big money. These changes would help put political power back in the hands of everyday people, not corporations or lobbyists.
You summed up my point well. Thank you.
Great point!
Alan Keyes suggested “no dollar vote without a ballot vote” meaning if you are not a voter, you cannot give money to a candidate. I think candidates should also only be able to receive funds from their constituency. Senators can only raise money from their state, etc
Well said! A lot of details would be needed for my proposal as there should be.
Love these ideas. Especially when candidates are getting money from outside corporations or even people in other states when they are running to represent their state.
