Over the past few years BBQ prices have reached all time highs. COVID crippled the restaurant and ranching communities in our country. In order for many restaurants to stay in business they relied on government handouts and were forced to raise prices just to make payroll. All the while the major meat companies in the US saw sky high profits while taking advantage of these farmers and small business owners. I’m asking you to curtail these greedy, monopolistic meat companies and provide farmers, ranchers, restaurateurs, and backyard BBQ cooks affordable, ethically raised, and humanely processed meats to help Make America Healthy Again and Make delicious BBQ Affordable Again!
Recommendations:
—more oversight on major meat companies
—provide subsidies/benefits to allow farmers and ranchers to ethically raise better quality/healthier animals
—stop all exporting of beef/pork/chicken etc. to foreign adversaries (China, in particular)
—stop all importing of beef/pork/chicken from foreign adversaries (China, in particular; although countries like New Zealand with healthier standards are allowed)
—create ways for farmers/ranchers to more easily acquire land for free range/grass fed/cage free animals
—do not allow farm/ranch land to be purchased by major corporations and foreign countries/corporations
—destroy all barbaric practices by major meat companies like gestation crates, overcrowded chicken shacks, pollution filled feed lots.
—provide benefits for small business, independent owned restaurants who source and sell quality, healthy food
