Use the "Sherman Antitrust Act" and the "Stockyards Act" to break up the meat packing business dominated by 4 major packers

Only 4 major meat packing companies slaughter and pack MORE THAN 90% of all US meat. They also control the price of incoming animals live animals by carrying enormous inventories of live animals while sending representatives to animal live auction yards throughout the country. At these auctions, buyers for the 4 big packers can easily ( and likely do) interact and perhaps collude to fix prices. I say use the Sherman Antitrust Act and the Packers and Stockyards Act to break this oligopoly. This would allow for small local and regional markets to again exist, with better competition and free market tradition to prevail.

Remove onerous and overbearing food regulation from the FDA, that’s a regulatory capture they have given to these 4 companys. Let local farmers butcher their own cows and sell at local markets. This would be a boon to low income people as Slaughter and procesing is a huge component of beef prices.
