Limits on Car Insurance

We the people are obligated by law, and punishment of the law, to purchase car insurance in order to operate a vehicle on the roads. The only issue with this is that a free citizen is forced to buy a product from independant companies that raise the price of policies at will.

Insurance companies, who are all but garenteed clientele, regularly penilize policy holders even for claims that are no fault. People fear more about relying on their insurance, then they are about paying out of pocket because if they use their insurance “benefits”, their rates go up, often costing much more moving foals than the cost of the repair itself.

Insurance is no assurance to a policy holder whose costs continue to rise year after year. If the government is going to force me to purchase a product then I feel that there should be restrictions and limits for the insurance companies in what they are allowed to charge and for what specific reasons they are allowed to increase rates.

Rates should not increase for no fault claims. Rate increases are for those that prove to be a liability: such as citations, at-fault accidents or collisions.

You are not a “liability” if you are the victim of an accident/collision, damage caused by road hazards or debris, vandalism etc.

The main thing about Car Insurance is that nobody is inherently required by law to purchase it.

If you don’t have a car, if you don’t drive a car, there’s no requirement for car insurance.

Beyond that, you should probably do more research into the specifics of how and why insurance actually works.

I would agree that there should be some limits on car insurance. People should not have the premiums go up 40-50% in a year like they did for a large number of people this year.

I completely agree with this. My car insurance has doubled because I moved to an area with “higher traffic accidents”, however, I work from home and drive under 25 miles a week. I have a perfect driving record as well. Through Progressive insurance, I have a monitor on my car and was supposed to receive $400 dollars as a perk of being a safe driver. Instead my premium went up, when I called and asked about my discount for safe driving they told me “inflation has eaten it up”.

You reminded me… that monitoring. That is another manner in which they extort money from customers. If you want a discount because the premium is so high, you must VOLUNTEER to be SPIED ON. You are paying an insurance company to spy and sell your personal information. It’s insane!

People do not realize that the “laws” requiring registration, insurance, etc are all motor vehicle code which is written by the Department of Transportation. The word department is defined in Blacks Law as “a division of the executive branch of government, typically headed by someone of Cabinet rank.” Now if we look at Article One, Section One of the United States Constitution, it says “All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress consisting of a Senate and House of Representatives.” Where did we give the Executive branch law making powers? Take that code and throw it in the garbage. It’s unenforceable.
Add to that the recent Loper Bright Enterprises case where the ruling was that an agency cannot set, enforce and adjudicate its own policies.

I absolutely agree, something desperately needs to be done. So I just recently got my license last year at the age of 27. When I first had to get insurance, my fiance suggested that we just put me on his so we could save some money and so I wouldnt have to look around. All was well, I was paying about $117 a month. Well esurance decided that they no longer wanted to be affiliated in NY anymore and told us that we had to find another place to insure us… when we frantically called around we couldnt find anything that was affordable, I tried getting my own and was told that they simply did not want me because I havent been driving for too long or I just couldnt afford the astronomical amount they were asking. Thankfully my mother was able to put me on hers. But now theres another issue with that!

Ive been on hers for a few months now and when I first started, I had to pay $206. I was told last month, for NO REASON AT ALL, that I now have to pay $246 a month. On the same exact insurance that Ive been paying for, nothing more, and thank god nothing less. It just makes absolutely no sense to me at all how they can do this to us. If theyre offering nothing more then why should we have to pay more? So I have to come up with another $40 for the $246 a month ontop of my $359 car payment with my half of rent $700-thankfully I have someone to split rent with- ontop of all the other bills I have when im only making $19 a hour. I NEED this car for my job, I dont have a choice but to have it so that I can continue to live.

I dont understand these insurance companies. I get why we have to have insurance, I do, but there needs to be some sort of a fix on this. How are new drivers who arent rich and dont have a family to rely on supposed to get insurance? If it werent for my mother or my fiance, I would have been paying for a car that I cant even drive right now due to the way these insurance companies operate.

Free citizens know about the Private Auto Insurance Surety Bond which in case of an accident it’s paid with their Strawman Trust most people don’t know they have. You might want to check out Joe Lustica on Telegram. He talks about how to fill out the Bond. I’m getting ready to since every time my insurance is due they raise the rate. When does it stop? I’m told our rates go up because of all the illegals that come into our country.

That would be because by living in an area with “higher traffic accidents”, you are statistically more likely to be in an accident.

Thus, the cost of the policy is higher in order to account for the higher probability that you might be in an accident and will need your insurance to cover for it.
