One reason why Congress fights so hard to stay in there is because of the benefits So here’s my idea
1). Congress receives no benefits from the federal government at all no pension packages no health insurance they must do like what everybody else does and that is go look for what services works best for you. Find your own stuff. Find your own retirement fund, and Health insurance.
2) There is no more paid food that’s up in DC you want something to eat make a lunch if you want to go out to eat you go out to eat on your own dime.
3). The amount of money they make is in direct correspondence on the average medium income of the families and people they represent. No more self-voting your own pay raises.
4) once you have announced it you’re running for congress after you are elected you immediately have to sell all your stocks and it can’t go to someone in the family ,and you can’t purchase any stocks until 2 years after leaving Congress.
5) What’s available to the common people is available to Congress if they want better options then make better things available for their voter base.
