While I understand that some holistic medical care is covered, like chiropractic care, there are many forms that aren’t. A lot of homeopathy and naturopathy aren’t covered by insurance because these are thought of as experimental while there is a ton of research that suggests that it is possible for these methods to treat hormone imbalances which is beneficial for men and women to achieve overall health. Also, while it is true that some weight loss programs, surgery options and medications are covered by many insurances it seems like it’s only covered once a patient has a need for it. Meaning that they already have a chronic illness they’re being treated for. I would agree that we have come a long way with offering incentives for people who go to the gym and focus on their health, but I believe we need to do better with educating people on proper nutrition and offer benefits for prevention of chronic illnesses. This could also fall under the spectrum of education for our children in our schools systems.

This should also apply to people who are on Disability services. Had I had holistic medicine available earlier, I would not have been in the system as long as I have been. I need to get OUT and get healthy! Holistic & Integrative medicines for all!

Weight loss medicine, you can’t get insurance to cover it, at least have the insurance help with over the counter, some of them. Are to expensive for people to afford, I know this administration is working on getting prices lowered crossed the board so just want to make sure things that people are talking about are on that list.
