As RFK Jr pointed out, there are many, many people who are born every day with autism. They are a group of people, along with many others with disabilities, who are vulnerable and sometimes are not able to care for themselves.
Since they are such a significant population, a policy should be made to make sure they are cared for.
Also, it would be good to find a way to help those who are able to use their strengths to work at jobs so they can use their skills to really help our country.
Also it would be great to make sure the states have all the resources they need to hire workers, like Behavior Consultants to help them to work on challenging behaviors they may have.
I am a behavior consultant in Indiana and work with many people with autism whose families could really use a lot of extra help. They are often overlooked, overwhelmed and lack essential resources.
