Reduce government size by reducing government programs at fed level and push them back to the states where they belong. Just like abortion.

Reducing the Size of the Government -
Consolidate Departments, removing redundant agencies.
Relocate Departments outside of D.C. Place offices in individual states utilizing buildings of businesses that were lost due to inflation. This will reduce employees who do not want to relocate. Put the offices under state governments and utilize infrastructure that is no longer being utilized because of the cost of inflation.
Require all employees work at least 40 hour work weeks at their assigned offices.
Require 20 years of employment to receive retirement benefits.
All employees work at the will of the Administration and can be fired for poor performance (i.e. absenteeism, insubordination…)
I agree with all your suggestions.
I’d also like to see department by department and in a methodical manner a firing of all the employees and everyone has to re-apply for their job. This will allow an employee to decide if they want to work for the current government, and if so, prove by merit that they are qualified for the job. I think this would clean out a lot of our government employees without discrimination. It would also give the department an opportunity to resize as needed.
