Declare federal Election Day a federal holidays for mid-term and Presidential elections.

YES!! Extremely important. More important than PRESIDENTS DAY.
This would give everyone the time and space needed to vote, volunteer, count the votes, report on the votes, etc.

Even better option might be to reschedule President’s Day from February so that it instead falls on Election Day.

Add ban of mail in ballots. All votes counted on Election Day.

4 day weekend, no counting day of should all be collection, Friday and Saturday for voting, Sunday for counting and grilling in the backyard, Monday for relasing count totals.

People don’t realize how important this is. For those who want to vote ON Election Day it is highly biased towards the unemployed.

I agree this is a great idea but lots of businesses don’t offer every national holiday as a company paid holiday. Normally they apply to federal employees which i hope we have alot less of in the future. How would this be navigated to keep government out of our lives? And out of the lives of small businesses who may not be able to afford to pay all their employees another holiday?

Make it a national holiday for a full 24 hours so that all shift workers could find a time to vote.

I do believe this would be super beneficial for all Americans. Many people work during voting hours and can’t get to the polls before or after work so having the day off would ensure that your voice is heard!

Declare Election Day as a National holiday as the first Tuesday of November
Declare Income Tax filing deadline as the first Monday of November.
Mail-in Ballots can be attached to mailed income tax return documents

Yes!! It should be honored as the 4th of July where families, friends come together after they vote… it would allow kids to be alongside their parents, educating them and seeing first hand the importance of voting and our right to exercise it

i’ll vote for this, but it occurs to me that before the days of computers, there was never a problem of counting the paper ballots without a holiday. yes, there are more people today, but still…?
