Too long have we allowed both parties to hang details, and delay bills based on what ‘they get’.
We need an executive order, day one, stating plainly that a bill put forward before congress or the senate must have a single issue, and cannot exceed 1 page in length, written plainly for any US Citizen to understand (8th grade reading level).
This would outright prevent the ‘omnibus’ and ‘Christmas tree’ bills that make concessions for all, enriching private interests over the people of this country, and create documents so long and labor intensive they never get read.
