End yearly car registration

Motor vehicle registration should be upon purchase of the vehicle and not a yearly tax. Unless the vehicle is sold or junked there should be no more fees placed upon said vehicle. This would not only eliminate costly fees on the public but it would eliminate police officers wasting time and efforts on pulling over law abiding citizens for over due registration.
