End Lobbyists' Influence in Congress

End - or at least shrink - lobbyists influence Congress. They have badly corrupted our politics.

Don’t allow any more egregious payments from lobbyists, nor any visits from lobbyists, either formally or informally. Especially forbid the highest payers, and cap their spending at 2004 levels (or if they weren’t around in 2004, whatever their earliest year is). The spending can increase from there according to inflation.

Payments publicly available here:
https://www.opensecrets.org/federal-lobbying/top-lobbying-firms

Or, payments could be limited to $500,000, as a one-time only, per person payment.
Whatever people think is best.

I think taking the large dollars out of the deal will remove most of the wind out of their sails, and consequently a large amount of their influence. No need to use other restrictions.

Thank you for making this space available!

END all lobbyist activity – 100% agree.

The fact that our “public servants” only serve the highest bidder is a counterproductive, destructive and mercenary practice.

What is best for America and the American citizen is never considered unless it greases the pockets of congress members.

NO MORE LOBBYISTS
NO MORE STOCK PORTFOLIOS
AUDIT CONGRESS

Yes! Great idea. 100%

Question: how can the audit happen, and not have the fox in the hen house?
