Eliminate the Tax on Second Jobs/ Side Gigs

While the “No Tax on Overtime” and “No Tax on Tips” is a great start, we should expand this even further.

Many jobs will not allow you to work more than 40 hours a week because they know they have to pay overtime pay. This leaves many Americans to have to work second jobs or other side gigs that get taxed equally at normal pay.

This proposal would extend the no tax on OT, to all hours worked over 40 per week, regardless of place of employment. A working employee should not have to work more than 40 hours per week, but in the case they decide to, they shouldn’t be taxed on it since it is the same logic as working overtime.
