Dismantle and re-create a type of child protective agency

Child protective services has become an unleashed monster. It’s agents have been known to force their ways into homes and extract children with less than credible evidence of abuse. It has become a ‘brownshirt or Gestapo’ type agency running off of fear, intimidation and terrorizing individuals and professionals into total compliance. It is true there must be an arm of law enforcement or social services to protect the innocent. But, at present CPS has in excess of 100,000 children who are supposed to be in their care who are unaccounted. Something is broken and the ones suffering are the children and the parents who want to be good parents but live in fear of having their children removed. As a mental health professional I have seen the abuses of CPS. In one situation they swoop in and extract the children regardless of the parents and in other situations they totally ignore concerns presented by professionals leaving the children in danger. This must stop. This must change.
