Current public broadcasting is sponsored in part by taxes from the public and has been overtaken by Leftists. It must stop. Reforming these entities MAY be possible, but it is likely to become corrupted again. If you have a way to keep it true, honest, fair, and interesting, then reform it. Otherwise, delete it.
National Public Radio has been actively campaigning against Donald Trump for over eight years. They have been campaigning against Benjamin Netanyahu for over 20 years, which is foreign election interference, and runs counter to Trump’s proposed foreign policy.
NPR, and PBS, should lose public funding. If states want to award grants to public radio stations, that should be up to the states. Repeal the Public Broadcasting Act.
I totally agree. However, my organization, Spryex Communications in Cincinnati are a mom and pop and it is a one man show, as a volunteer, full time. We serve the area with 100% original programming. We do not and never would participate in any kind of political or national programming. But we struggle financially operating on around $50k each year for three full time stations. If the government helps any kind of non-commercial radio stations, they should be helping independent ones like ours. We just want to survive to keep playing local music, support local bands and provide our unique local programming without hand-cuffs. We rely on listener support and it is difficult to keep things going. Because of the economy, very little comes in. We need help!
