Citizenship for Canadians in 100 days

Canada is not only our closest geographical trading partner; it also shares many of our core values and ideals—significantly more so than our neighbor to the south. Given these close ties, I propose that we establish a much faster pathway for qualified Canadian citizens to gain American citizenship.

Canadians are often highly educated, and bring strong expertise particularly in key areas such as technology, health, and the sciences—sectors in which both the US and Canada could benefit greatly from increased collaboration and shared human resources.

Moreover, my personal experience suggests that many Canadians have a firm grasp on U.S. political affairs, often to a degree that matches or even surpasses that of average Americans! Our countries already enjoy the benefits of cultural similarities and shared language, and a streamlined citizenship process could leverage these advantages to enhance bilateral relations and economic growth.

Such a policy could offer mutual benefits, reinforcing our economic ties and encouraging a richer cultural exchange, while enriching the American workforce with skilled and well-informed individuals who are likely to integrate smoothly into our society. Additionally, this could lead to enhanced partnerships in education and innovation, further bolstering our position on the global stage.

Recently Canada has taken in a lot of immigrants. This would put the USA at the mercy of choices they have no control over.
I don’t think this is a good idea.
A general immigration reform is needed to get the good people in quicker. But it should be based on a merit test, not a specific country.

This is easy to filter by requiring people to be Canadian citizens for 20 years at minimum

Build a wall on the Canadian border.

This should be easy to do as well.

Border wall + let Canadians fastrack citizenship that have 20+ years of history being in Canada

There will be a max exodus initially, but this will make both countries more competitive to get citizens.

I agree with some of the points you’re making but I must disagree with a fast track for Canadians. They have a different culture; they willingly empower the government to rule over them and surrendered their heritage to multiculturalism. This does NOT align with the majority American psyche. Too many Canadians here would create the same effect as the leftists who left California for Idaho, Colorado and other destinations.

I have close family Canada. Let me assure you: the majority ABSOLUTELY DO NOT WANT government ruling over them. Its all made up by MSM and deep state (theirs is worse).

Most Canadians that want to leave feel like the woke left is taking control. It’s like having to watch Kamala lead for 4 years. I am a land owner businessman and investor that’s being attacked by my government through taxation and woke DEI policies. I want a life for my kids that doesn’t include playing second fiddle to immigrants and people that don’t contribute to society. You will find most people that want to emigrate to the US have more in common with your ideals than you realize.

As Canadians, many of us are growing tired of the direction our government is heading. You’ve had democrats in office for 4, we had it for 8!!!
It feels like we’ve been stuck with these “woke” agendas for much longer than we should have, and it’s frustrating, especially for those of us who are third-generation immigrants who came to get away from what the very democratic/liberal is now.
We work hard, we don’t get handouts and our money is getting taken away in taxes.

We’re hardworking people who don’t want handouts or benefits; we just want to contribute to society and build a better future for our kids. One idea that could help improve things is requiring people to live in Canada for 20-25 years. This will stop the influx of new immigrants from having the change to enter the US.
