I support the Convention of State to ensure our government will become financially responsible. A balanced budget amendment to the US Constitution failed in 1999 by one vote.

Governors do meet yearly. But they don’t have anything to do with the Article V convention or even if their states pass the resolution. It all falls on the backs of the State Legislators. Even when they pass the resolution to adopt to become one of the states that supports the Article V Convention, it doesn’t go to the Governor’s desk to be signed. They are completely out of the loop.

Despite COS’s assurances, I am nervous about a runaway convention of states. But I believe them to be correct that without it we will do nothing… until nothing can be done.
So with some fear and trepidation, I’m supporting it.
When they have to have a US Senator’s aides roll her into the committee meeting in a wheelchair and she looks like a skeleton , then tell her what to say to vote, it might be time to consider term limits. When the Minority Leader freezes at the microphone with a blank stare during a press conference and has to be led away by the other members of his party, it might be time to consider term limits. When our elected leaders in Washington are spending taxpayers’ money like teenagers on spring break with Daddy’s credit card, it might be time for the people to set some fiscal restraints. When unelected bureaucrats decide what type of car I have to drive, what kind of stove I can use, or how I can heat my home, it might be time for WE THE PEOPLE to limit the overreach of the federal government. This is what Article V was intended to do. It’s time to use the power given in the Constitution and take our power back. Remember, who do the people we elect work for? Who pays their salaries? And those nice benefits and retirement packages they vote for themselves? Isn’t it time we expect them to do the job we pay them for?

The current MIS-representation of we the people by our federal elected officials is scary!!! They do not represent the will of the people! Their agenda is personal, self serving, and detrimental to the USA. As a 57 yr old citizen of the greatest nation on earth, the USA, I have a responsibility to take action to hep remedy our political situation. These troubles for our nation did not come into play when I was too old to care or when I was too young to know. No, these challenges became a severe problem during the prime of my life. I am embarrassed by that fact and feel a personal responsibility to find a solution, That desire has led me to COS. The solution that is as big as the problem!!! If amending the constitution scares you, it should. But, not changing it scares me a whole lot more!!! We the people MUST take action to implement term limits and reign in the federal deficit and out of control spending! Please do your own research, ask around, and see what other options we have as a nation. If you truly do that, suddenly amending the constitution becomes much less concerning. We The People need to once again take back the control of our great nation!! USA! USA! USA!!!

With enough amendments in the right places however, it’d effectively be a rewrite or tossing it away. I just looked over Article 5 again, and there’s little limitations if any put on what can be amended in the constitution.
Completely agree the federal government is far too big and needs to be reined in and slapped. Most of the agencies that are in existence should be dissolved! Everything should go back to the states! Except the military and foreign relations. But even those need heavy restrictions to stop the federal government from making any decision without the people’s and states approval.

- The COS is important to me ! ! !
- Limiting politicians’ terms will stifle the Israeli lobby’s control of our politicians with their money.
- As it is now, Israel tells our politicians what to do, what to say AND how to vote.
- The politicians vote to make the US citizen give money to Israel, which Israel then uses to perpetually control and own the country’s politicians.
The politicians then vote more money to support wars we should have no interest in and feed money to the military industrial complex billionaires, Black Rock and Vanguard.
- The COS will start the the end of and erasure of the evil that is controlling the USA and forcing its citizens to pay for.

We Need This Covention ASAP. The Only Way to Stop the Government Overreach, and insure Transparency … is to force the government to listen to WE THE PEOPLE. This “Covention of the States” will do just that. Starting wiil enforcing a Balanced Budget.

The “Titans” of American industry and finance (Musk, Buffet, Dimon, Gates and others) are calling for action to address the nations national debt. Is anyone in Washington listening to these people?
Over 80% of American voters, of all political persuasions, agree that term limits are needed for elected officials in Washington. The career politicians in Washington are there only to enhance their personal wealth. It’s time to stop this insanity.
SUPPORT THE COS INITIATIVE CALLING FOR A CONVENTION OF STATES TO AMEND THE CONSTITUTION TO ADDRESS THESE PROBLEMS!

A lazy citizenship has allowed the federal government to reach into almost every aspect of our lives, something it was never meant to do. The power over the people can not and will never be given back. Convention of the States was written into the US Constitution for this very reason. The forefathers knew a day like this could come and it is here.
