Proposal: Utilize blockchain to give medical records back to the people, ensure privacy rights, and restore medical freedom.
__
Why should doctors own our medical records and we only have access to them?
In the past, paper records were difficult to access. Not to mention, they posed myriad security issues.
Today, online portals make it easier for patients to access their records, but they also make it easier for anyone to access their records.
The throughline: patients not owning their records.
Of course, provider liability is the reason behind this.
How to solve?
I propose we invest in utilizing blockchain to create a way for patients to own their records while allowing access to providers, giving records back to the people whilst covering provider liability.
