With tariffs in place making the cheaper items from over seas worthless to buy and new american companies emerging, the items we buy should have a better value to them. Companies should not purposely be able to make the items we buy not build to last. Our manufactured materials should be of a higher caliber and uncomparable to China or anywhere els. We are spending more on replaceing the items we buy for our homes every year. “Planned obsolescence” is a scam and should not keep our great counrty from prosperity.

Too many items are designed to be thrown away. Make American products that Last, force minimum warranty on products. No reason to fill landfills with junk. American product were once superior, so make corporations honor warranties, penalize those who make faulty products. Make car manufacturers make all warranties standard. There were many great engines, made that were replaced with junk because they lasted too long. America could make and open source a MAGA car that was easy to work on, high quality parts that do not corrode and last a lifetime. We have the talent, people, we just have remove the greed.

Yes, this is a mega problem and aside from all the single use food packaging it creates massive amounts of waste. Which is a contributor to all the microplastics now in our food supply as the world is quite litterly riddled with plastics.
