Ban fragrance, PFAS and toxic ingredients in Clothes, cookware, utensils and containers

We the people should not have to do so much research into every single ingredient that comes in contact with our bodies, food or water. We need to have products that are made with quality and safe materials. No more toxic coatings or materials that can leech into our food or water. If possible ban plastic! We the people shouldn’t have to worry about our clothes or body products also causing us harm. This needs to stop! This is an attack on everyone.

If it is shown that many people have experienced side effects from using such products, let’s move forward and make a national class action lawsuit from the companies who had such ingredients in their products and to pay the American people back for their medical complications.

I could be wrong, but I believe this is the FDA’s main job… and they AREN’T doing it. We shouldn’t have known toxins in anything.

Yes, that’s correct! It is their job! I agree it is such a shame that we all have to do research and find out most products are toxic. Lord knows how long we’ve been exposed and that is why people we know are getting sick! It’s very upsetting.

Please forgive me as I’m new to this. What does a merge do? Thank you!

As of right now, it doesn’t actually ‘merge’ the policies, but rather lists each policy proposal together, tags their authors, and creates a centralized thread for us to collaborate; effectively giving us the opportunity to transform our observations into detailed contributions, and preventing a pile up of duplicate policies.

I’m glad that is something we can do. Yes, let’s merge them. That would be very helpful! I appreciate you taking the time to help me and helping an important discussion be seen by others.

Yea, even if we dont make a collaborative post, it should increase views and show that we support similar aspects of a proposal.

You cannot rely on unaccountable government employees beholden only to their supervisors to be fair and unbiased. All policy should be required to be based on consensus of well balanced committees and task groups. Letting FDA do the studies and determine what needs to be regulated or not is like the fox watching the hen house. Especially considering the incest between FDA and very large industries.

Thank you for bringing this up! Between plastic, laundry detergent,
scented candles, and plug in room deodorizers (just to name a few)it’s a wonder our children grow up at all! All of these harmful chemicals bombarding our bodies causing all sorts of problems. The human race is getting sicker every day and we just shake our heads and wonder why. This really needs to be addressed.

Absolutely!! Thank you! I always question why baby products need fragrance as well! They truly try to start as early as possible exposing us to harmful and unnecessary ingredients!
