Any and all attempts to modulate weather, add, or take away substances from the atmosphere through artificial means must be banned.
Pass this law now, then in the future, if any technology comes along that can prove itself to be safe and profitable to the American people they can debate changing it.
Note: this does not ban the invention of such technologies, just the actual utilization of them on our atmosphere. Lab testing is perfectly fine(for those worried about science being stifled). We all share one atmosphere and no single person or group of persons has the right to take actions that could drastically effect all, either now or for future generations. We know the Earth has powerful forces that âselfâ regulate. We must always default to those natural forces that have sustained us up to this point.
Just because we can doesnât mean we should. I donât like the notion of if itâs profitable in the future possibly reconsidering. Weather has a natural flow and it should not be messed with. Droughts, floods, fires, and many other natural disasters, while devastating sometimes, often bring healthy changes or have major benefits long term to the environment. We should let nature do itâs thing. And when natural disasters happen we should rally together and help our brothers and sisters in need.
Manipulating the weather should be something that humans are not involved in period.
With the hurricanes Helene and Milton appearing so abnormal, and having such devastating impacts ( as it appears that Milton will have a huge impact), a ban on all weather modifications should be a TOP priority of any government administration which cares about the people. With a full weather modification ban that is strictly monitored and enforced, we the people can be assured that any weather pattern is totally natural .
The Problem with your suggestion is that they can Help with the Grow Seasons, add water early in Spring for crops to begin growing, in very arid States like West Texas and New Mexico, they can add Water during the dryer times of the Year making it easier to grow Food for our Cattle, and they can make the winters less harsh, and not Frozen Solid for three whole MonthsâŚ
I would suggest that there be a punishment when it is used for destructive Purposes or as a Weapon to Destroy entire Communities, or parts of States, otherwise, it can be used as a very useful Tool in our Agricultural Tool BoxâŚ
They can even shut down Tornadoes, and make hurricanes into simple gentle showersâŚ

I agree. But this technology comes at the expense of the citizens. There is a constant spraying in the atmosphere of metallic particles which then responds to different frequencies to get the desired weather formation. These metallic nanoparticles are inhaled by the population and many strange health problems occur due to heavy metal toxicity in the body. This technology should be heavily guarded and not in the hands of criminals who will use it as a weapon against their own people. We see this happening right now with Hurricane Helene, Milton, Maui fire/hurricane etcâŚ
Oh I totally agree, it is being used by some of the most evil people for some very nefarious reasons, mainly the enslavement of all of Humanity like it was back in the 1700s in Europe, and elsewhereâŚ
But, when we win, and we will win, we should have some sort of system set up so that this tech can help our Farmers all year round, and as such we could prove to the world that Food doesnât have to be Scarce, and can be had in abundance, not just here, but all around the worldâŚ

We are in an interglacial period. Pumping reflective particles into our atmosphere to geoengineer climate is an extraordinarily bad idea. The unintended consequences could be catastrophic. Rich people like Bill Gates have no right to make decisions affecting the entirety of mankind.
Option A: Data clearly showed that, due to human activity, the Earth is warming at an unprecedented and unnatural rate, and this has a variety of cascading effects, including more frequent and severe natural disasters. We ignored this, maintained the status quo, continued to pollute our environment, and we are now paying the price.
Option B: The government somehow found a way to create a hurricane the size of Florida and is unleashing it on the populace (motive unknown).

People who will get an extra foot of snow because of cloud seeding should be approving the extra snow. This much snow in the winter in Idaho is life and death for many.
I see some argument on how it can be used as a tool for agriculture. Hereâs the thing⌠It has side effects. It effects the weather patterns, changes the airstreams, creates vacuums and impacts the atmosphere. It can be used for benevolent purposes and still have catastrophic consequences. Weather modification should be banned.
