BAN all sitting members of Congress from trading stocks while serving

For many years it has been well known members of Congress trade in stocks, and most of those trades typically involve insider knowledge of investigations, etc. The most infamous case of this is Nancy Pelosi, who recently dumped Visa stock just prior to the Justice Department filing suit against Visa.

This is not only unjust, but insider trading by any citizen of the United States would be prosecuted. Is Congress above the people of the United States and exempt from following all laws?

Further, all family members are prohibited from trading stocks while their sponsor serves, just as bribery applies to their family members, so too should insider trading.

One option is to allow stocks to be held in a blind trust while members serve in congress… isn’t this what President Trump did while he was in office previously?

For his pay, yes. And the issue I have with a trust is they is they can still make stock trades based upon information normal people don’t have access to. Hence, the insider trading ban.

This is a huge problem, and a great idea!
