Balanced Budget Accountability Act

Pass a Balanced Budget Accountability Act, which would require all members of Congress to pass a balanced budget for the federal government every year of their service. If any Congress fails to do so before the end of the current fiscal year, all members will immediately become ineligible for reelection. This new law would be intended to promote fiscal responsibility and prevent the government from accruing excessive debt.
This law should allow for some degree of domestic emergencies, but also restrict or eliminate all continuing resolutions which currently fund our government.
