Anti-Bullying Bill 3 Strikes

Anti-Bullying Bill Proposal will focus on ensuring children are properly equipped to understand bullying behaviors, as well as their effects, and consequences prior to disciplinary action. It gives children the ability to learn, evolve, and rehabilitate from bullying behavior through a transparent zero bullying tolerance system. A system that comes with resources, and a program instilled in our schools to protect the safety of all children.

Elementary School

  1. First strike: Weekly counseling sessions (focused on but not solely emotional regulation, body safety, communication skills)
  2. Second strike: Ineligibility for school field trips
  3. Third strike: Expulsion

Middle School

  1. First strike: 20 hours community service, weekly counseling sessions (focused on but not solely emotional regulation, body safety, communication skills)
  2. Second strike: Mandatory professional psychological counseling
  3. Third strike: Expulsion. Educational note on school profile that conveys to high school about bullying behavior.

High School

  1. First strike: 20 hours community service, weekly counseling sessions
  2. Second strike: Mandatory professional psychological counseling
  3. Third strike: Expulsion, permanent disciplinary note on transcripts

Key Additions
