85%Tax on Social Security

Taxing seniors over full retirement age who wish to work and draw their SS should not bear the financial burden of 85% tax on their SS benefit (if they make over a very minimal amount of income). Makes no sense to so seriously punish our seniors WHO WANT TO WORK.

Agreed. I am not sure why we are taxing social security in the first place, since it is a tax on the working populace.
I would rather see us go away from all taxes other than a national sales tax. If we are taxed on spending, it could incentive people to save their money. We would need to look at exempting utilities, food, and clothing under a certain dollar amount as this would help the poor to have money to pay for other necessities.
