What we need to MAHA

MAHA
There are so many good suggestions how to make America Healthy. Here’s a collection of a few ideas.

Suggestions:

  • Make healthy choices available - by government regulating and removing additives and chemicals and pesticides (and GMO’s), All of which we have absolutely no way of avoiding. So just simply make healthy food available and a normal thing to expect on the shelf!

  • And, why is it that healthier food is more expensive? Does it really cost more to produce it? So it costs more to leave the salt and other harmful ingredients out? If they are just marking the price up because it’s a “specialty” food, then it’s wrong. Poor people are left with only poor food choices.

  • After that, encourage corporations to market, a truly healthier lineup of foods. Perhaps the capitalistic process of competition, supply & demand, truthful advertisements, improved education, and honesty in the medical field (none of this acceptance of unhealthy practices just so someone doesn’t get their feelings, hurt), etc, This would empower people to make the better choices. Deep down people do not want to be lied to, they would rather hear the honest truth so they can make wise choices

  • I believe in the power of choice and in a small government. Regulations should only empower people to make good choices, not restrict them into a future revolt because they can’t have their Twinkies. There are a lot of people on government medical assistance that are creating the medical crisis for themselves. First, taxpayers pay for their poor choice of junk food, then we pay for their medical bills, which never end. I believe food stamps/ food cards should have restrictions against purchasing so many poor food choices and persons should be allowed extra purchases of the non processed, low sugar and fresh fruits, vegetables, etc.

  • Perhaps each barcode that is scanned would have a point system on the level of healthiness, and only a certain number of poor choice food items are allowed within a month.

  • And, no soft drinks, alcohol, cigarettes, etc allowed for purchase with food stamps

  • If the government is going to regulate sugar content in foods and drinks sold on the grocery shelf it would be best to make a gradual change. Let corporations challenge each other with better recipes, tastier spices etc. Just like they are regulating cars to have increasing miles per gallon over time, we need decreased sugar but with time to develop it. Let the best food win!

  • AND: don’t be like so many other previous government officials who only used a “new idea” to reward their crony buddies with government paid out contracts. The work either never got done or was poorly done, and it was always totally overpriced. Let the American capitalist/economy/need for and demand for healthy choices play out with the voices and hard work of the American people from every large and small town of America. Not centrally located by big companies. I bet you can find the healthy recipes and spicy healthy low sugar foods are already out there.

I wish y’all all the success, for the sake of our families and the sake of America. The power is in the vast diversity of its people that don’t need to be told to come together. The government just needs to acknowledge we already are and we’re tired of the drama telling us we aren’t.

MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA
