Focus on healthcare and not just sickcare

The entire “health” industry has been wrongly focused on treating symptoms of bad health instead of causes. In fact, causes have been largely ignored or, worse, mischaracterized. While many fitness and health coaches and naturopaths have identified issues with things like industrial seed oils, food dyes, corn syrups, artificial sweeteners, and other processed foods, the officials in the FDA, and NIH have refused to address any of their claims. First, the FDA should be reorganized and split into two. There should be no crossover betwen food regulations and drug regulations. Their alliance hash created a self-repeating, self-sustaining loop of bad science and profit driven policy that sacrifices health on the altar of greed. Second, the definitions regarding health and wellness need to be revisited so the goals of the newly organized entities will stop pushing bad science on the people and encourage true health and wellness. Third, the previous standards of “health” that have created the most overweight, most anxious, most medicated generation in world history need to be tossed completely. The “science” that approved seed oils, processed chemicals, and demonized cholesterol, red meat, raw milk, and eggs needs to be completely removed from the public discourse and replaced with sound science. Fourth, the public needs to be reeducated on what real health looks like and involves. The goal of the newly organized Drug Administration needs to be REMOVING pharmaceuticals from people’s lives rather than chasing profit by increasing them. Pharmaceuticals should be a last resort, not a first effort. Medical schools must require nutrition classes based on sound science. Pharmaceutical companies must be prohibited from paying doctors to use their drugs and be prohibited from having any input into medical schools. Lastly, the newly organized food administration must require absolute honesty in labeling if products. If a product claims to be “all natural” they must disclose any “natural” ingredients that have been added. No more hiding ingredients behind labels such such as “natural flavors” added. Absolute honesty in what a consumer’s food has added, how it has been processed, and how it has been handled. Also, if a chemical additive is addictive or triggers overeating it must be noted clearly if it is not outright banned. Sugar, corn syrup, and other artificial sweeteners must stop being added to things like vitamins and other items for which it has no business being added. There must be a shift from treating only symptoms towards creating true health by treating causes of disease and sickness.
