Voter Transparency. Verify your vote was counted and what for to reduce fraud

We can track our voter registration status online with a few pieces of personal information. I am arguing that states should be required to provide a record to you of when your vote was counted and what for. A system should be created for voters to file a discrepancy claim if their vote shows it was counted for the wrong candidate or incorrectly for issues on each ballot. This should reduce voter fraud and correct it while ensuring security that our votes are counted and correct, or given a way to correct this if there is any sort of error.

I suggest that they use the number on the ballot.

Great idea.

Agree with the intent of the policy, but there also must be a mechanism to weed out votes cast by non-citizens, and a method of penalizing such votes in alignment with the law.

Yes, 100%!! This should help identify fraud and also help prosecute it harshly!

I think voting should be a weeklong event. Vote on Monday, Tuesday election official tally and condense data to a searchable app, Wednesday citizens verify their vote, and search records to verify deceased loved ones did not vote. Thursday officials retally votes, Friday State GOV hand delivers tally sheets and official counts to 3 selected congressional members (1 Dem, 1 Rep, and 1 Independant) they then tally up all votes and present the winner.

I also believe that there should be an app on our phones to vote, 1 scan ID, 2 enter PIN, 3 Take Selfie. 4 Vote. on the recieving end a ballot will be created with your selfie at the top and your PII electronically redacted but still searchable for verification. the app could also be used for the people voting on issues or to propose ammendments to issues before a vote can take place

Just my 2 cents

I feel tracking your vote by the number on the ballot would be best. Should show your vote was counted and how you voted to assure that there is not a computer glitch like what happened in Michigan 2020. Every ID or driver’s license should have US citizen printed on them once verified and not on noncitizens.

I agree wholeheartedly that there should be a way to go in and verify that your own vote was counted correctly toward what you actually voted for. I also agree with the person who suggested being able to check that deceased family members names weren’t used for fraudulent voting, and that non-citizen voting needs an identifier. The tricky part is to keep from making it that we can be targeted as unfavorable voters and put in harm’s way. It seems a lot of people who try and stand up to do the right thing these days have unusual “accidents”!

Yes my only concern with this was how secure the information would be and that others couldn’t use it against you because your vote should be private between you and your government.
I do feel that requiring the ballot number could resolve this though. Politicians could campaign requesting you save this information at the time of voting and follow up later to ensure your vote was counted correctly.
I also agree with how the voting process should take a week or so. There is no reason to rush like we have been and not put more checks and balances in place. So many people feel there’s no point in voting and that their ‘vote doesn’t count’. If we can verify that it actually does, maybe this could restore some security and personal power to those Americans. :us:

Yes yes yes the voting process seems SO RUSHED when they won’t take office for over 2 months after votes are cast.
Lets add some time on to ensure nothing is rushed causing errors, and so we can verify our vote was counted correctly!

As a further provision is that the names of all people voting with their age and address should be published real-time on county web sites. This would enable the public to readily identify non-citizens they suspect voted illegally.

Absolutely, our elections should be thoroughly transparent. We should be able to take pictures, track our vote. Everything

I suggested to Governor DeSantis last year that we need a receipt of our vote. Date, time, polling station, Who we voted for, etc …

I agree, However all Ballot should be searchable by American citizens(No personal information). This will allow people to compare registered voters to Ballots counted.

In addition , people can search for their ballot by voter ID (or a number assign at the time of voting)and verify: 1 it was counted, and 2 make sure the Ballot was not changed.

Thoughts?

A few years ago I thought this was a good idea however I was disabused of this… imagine having your vote in the public forum. No. Not a good idea how I know where you’re coming from.
Paper. Same day. That should take care of the issue.

Employee Blockchain technology to ensure encryption of a single vote as well as provide a receipt for the vote.
