I propose a universal reproductive care option to help reduce abortion necessity as well as improve women’s health. Universal Reproductive Care would grant the following to all women that are citizens of the United States:

  1. All Gynecologist visits are free
  2. Birth control is free
  3. Condoms are free
  4. IUDs are free
  5. All Pregnancy related Health Care is free
  6. Universal Maternity Leave

By instating these privileges to women it would effectively do the following:

  1. Drastically reduce the rate of unplanned pregnancy
  2. Reduce the need for thousands of abortions
  3. Improve the overall health of women
  4. Increase the birth rate in America

There are more proposals to this that I think would help women, children and families, such as improving the adoption process in America and reducing or eliminating the cost of child care. But the above listed items I feel would make an immediate impact on the health and well being of the women of our country as well as reducing the need for abortions drastically.
