Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency should implement the “Spotters” program within the agency while the country is in crisis mode. Spotters can and should be everyday ordinary citizens who see illegal immigrants all day every day in their communities. Spotters have NO law enforcement backgrounds, NO law degrees, NO detaining power, NO citizen arrest type of mindsets individuals should NOT be a candidate because we don’t want to create potential and completely unnecessary and avoidable interaction with illegal immigrants that can turn negative in anyway. Spotters can be hired and/or compensated directly from ICE or indirectly through a subcontractor(Local small businesses) of ICE. There is other details that comes along with the process of implementing this program. I believe this will help the agency execute their duties despite local government agencies’ willfulness to obstruct the immigration laws being enforced in their areas. I believe this will save our government millions/billions of dollars while trying to clean up this mess. There must be checks and balances put in place as well for compensation and other guidelines etc… We want ICE to hold JOB FAIRS in our communities.
