Transparency on Medicare spending outside of actual healthcare

Medicare is used by government to pay down debt in addition to pay for healthcare. Government is permitted to use Treasury bonds from Medicare to pay national debt.

We need transparency in what is being paid off with this money and how much is being used for something other than healthcare.

Medicare is consistently blamed as costing too much. Main Stream Media puts up images of how much spending is allotted to Medicare as if it is for actual Medicare (healthcare) when it is not. That paints a false picture.

We need full transparency as to how much money is actually going toward healthcare and how much is going elsewhere. Any debt that is paid off not related to healthcare also needs to be transparent in that it must show exactly what is being paid off in order to track the expense.

If Social Security also falls under this same type or similar type of system the same should apply.

The United States needs to stop blaming the elderly for costing too much when they are taking that money to pay off debt unrelated to anyone’s healthcare (or if applicable social security).
