When this app started there were several real issues as there still are. But, many of the issues that were serious and gaining traction had 100s of thousands of likes and popularity. Today i scan through the app and “the top issues” have less than 1000 voters. This is deliberate and if you thin its not then you’re not paying attention to the game. This is not a policy creation but rather a call to recognize.
The problem is that most users come up with an idea and do not take the time to search and see if it has been already submitted so you get the same idea each with a few votes. A quick key word search show there are MANY with the same submitted idea. You will note that 2 submitted today are already on the list and pulling votes away from the leaders. “Make medicinal commercials illegal”, and Pain management patient reform: We need protective laws & advocates for patients” are already in the top vote lists.
A way to correct this is have the default log on screen show the all time vote leaders FIRST like the attached pictures. That way you could read to top vote getters, and IF your idea is not there, then add it. Since no one seems to be able to use the SEARCH function, in addition to it, there could be a buttons for “Leading Votes”, “Newly Submitted”, maybe “Last month”. That would give you the option to see leaders, and what is current.
Unfortunately, I think the larger issue is that this site was good in concept, but it’s never really met the potential it was pitched as having.
There’s probably an abundance of reasons why, but at the end of the day it had a burst of activity in the beginning as people had hope that it might actually mean something but as it became clear that it was mostly talk with minimal if any action, most those who did have hope for it stopped visiting because what’s the point?
Frankly, I sometimes question why I’m still here myself and I’m not certain how long I will continue to stick around given the lack of indication there’s going to be any kind of turnaround.
I tend to be in the same boat.
This forum was good in concept, as a great way to discuss proposals - the problem is that those with the power to make a change (or their staff) aren’t here to add insight or champion our ideas on Capital Hill.
Like you @MKSJ I don’t know how much longer I’m going to be here - the number of votes per user are capped, so short of going back and removing votes from issues, many of us just can’t vote for any more.
If we care about these ideas, and I think we do, giving up is not the answer. You say that the people who need to listen are not here. I don’t know how you know that, but here is an idea.
Every elected official I know of has a way to communicate with them, phone, e-mail, on-line comments, etc. . Use them, let them know about the website, and your ideas. I have contacted my representatives 5 times in the last few years, and every time I have gotten a response. Yes, three times I got a form letter saying thanks for communicating, typical, but twice I got a reasonable response from a staffer. But at least I got a response from each one. Hint: contact through local state offices, not federal/Washington sites. The DC offices were where I got the form letters. Don’t include direct links, I don’t think they will click them, include searchable directions - Policies for the People search for Term Limits or Policies for the People change search criteria to ALL.
One I wrote about was about term limits and the Staffer told me that a bill for term limits has been submitted several times in the last 10 or 15 years . He listed a couple and, yes, there they were. He said that they did not have enough support to make it far. A lot of people say want it, but how many of them know about the bill, and contact someone supporting it? Here is the current one:
Sen. Cruz has previously sponsored or co-sponsored a Constitutional Amendment to impose term limits in each of the four prior Congresses – in**2017**, 2019, 2021, and 2023.
What would happen if the 19,455 people who voted here also contacted ALL of their elected officials? And news media? Not only supporting that bill, but also telling them about this site? They may not even know about it, that is why they are not here, but maybe someone would look. 22,000+ for Single Issue Bills for Congress, almost 17,000 for Ban Artificial Food Dyes (Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Red 40), and that one is happening. why, a huge organized group of people fighting for it.
During the late 1960’s, during the anti-war movement, yes, I am that old, Arlo Guthrie released an anti-war song called Alice’s Restaurant (1967). It is 18 minutes long, but here is the last 2-3 minutes of the call to action. By 1969 there were anti-war protest everywhere.

Posting here, seeing new ideas, learning about what other people think, and want, that is only step one.. The second part is what are you going to do with that knowledge?
The thing is that a lot of those elected officials actively don’t want the stuff that we want and will actively work against what the larger voting public actually wants. Trump is ultimately only one man. As we’ve seen with his repeat calls, for example, to end the filibuster to actually get his agenda in place through acts such as fixing election systems, he ultimately can’t force Representatives and Senators to do anything if those congressmen are actively against it.
And similarly, unfortunately all too often things like term limits are ultimately filed in what amount to little more than virtue signaling that allows congressmen to claim they’re in favor of something but with a move that they know will never actually be voted on or never really have the votes to pass.
Politicians only want what will get them re-elected so they can keep their power, and if they only hear from a small minority, and not the majority, they will work with the minority.
As long as all we do is post a few things and click a few thumbs up buttons, and vote for a couple of ideas, nothing will happen. Then this website is nothing more than a therapeutic outlet for your rage. As Henry Ford said, “You can’t build a reputation on what you are going to do.” When you do nothing, nothing happens.
I have long been a proponent of the Convention of States movement, and helped champion the resolution for it through the Texas Legislature. By the states calling a Convention to amend (and not rewrite as some flat earthers’ claim) the Constitution, we take the politicians out of the loop, and the states have the say in it.
A politician is not going to vote for term limits, despite large numbers of the people would like that. Too many politicians have let the power of being in DC go to their head, and won’t give it up until they physically or mentally can’t do it any more. Convention of States has both legislative and judicial term limits on their radar, as well as a balanced budget (of course another area politicians won’t fix because it would shut down all the money laundering that lines their pockets).
Sadly, Convention of States is losing traction, as people like George Soros are throwing their money around at the state level to prevent its passage. They are nearly 2/3 of the way to having enough states on board to call the Convention, and year after year the resolution dies in State Legislatures because of the negative push.
That’s why everybody on this forum should talk to their State Legislatures and Governors - most start their legislative activities in January, and the resolution needs a strong voice from we the people to get it across the finish line. The Convention is likely the only way some of these big picture proposals in this forum will ever come to pass.
I guess it was just an outlet to voice an opinion. I’ve always believed the US is cooked and that Globalism (since the 80s) would rise and take over the world. I’ve watched their influence expand over time with decisions from Davos. I saw nothing being done and I stopped believing in intelligent and independent leaders and thinkers in 2015. It’s really is a US of permissions. Sadly there is nowhere you can run because their totalitarian power is global. It absolutely cannot be stopped. They’ve won a few years ago with very light resistance. The world will be run by psychopaths and sociopaths, people that are beyond the word evil and who believe in very dark occult things. We’re talking war for fun and ancient hellish horror that’s far much more worst than the Azteks. People being put on trial for thought-crimes and probably human-factories birthing babies and harvesting-organs from proletariat ‘useless eater’ as a routine mundane task. Hell would blush. Having an outlet just gave me a tiny micro ounce of faith. Nevertheless, you are right. The app is as good as the American spending power. Would be great to have more votes or something. Could be a govt psy-op or a method to sell data or teach AI, but who cares. If you want to make a better app, you have to build it yourself. Sadly I greatly suck at programming. Great app idea tho.
Anyhow, great post. I like to see what people are requesting policy-wise. If you’re still on here, I’ll see you around. ![]()
Maybe Pollyanna hopium. But it’s here, a benevolent teaching /tracking system, an observatory landing. We are being observed - it’s better than not having any say or being censored. A place for intentions, a space to tool up mentally, stir the pot. Our timeline isn’t the timeline of our good military or whomever runs the show now.![]()

We aren’t deciding anything. Not yet anyway.
the site was ‘abandoned’ by the OG mod team for super PAC pay and organization.
Months ago they even interacted with us, and called me to ask questions, only to drop it all.
It was said that this app is going to be reviewed quarterly.
Are you trying to get people to state their opinion/wants/concerns / needs?
I agree and i think the site still has potential to be a great think tank sort of community with people from all over. also, the posts and comments can always be used in the future as support for other policy writing. This is a place where We the People can post and AI can only restrict Likes and votes. Anyone focused on Likes and Votes instead of actually getting the attention of representatives. We can link them to this site, etc. Totally agree, Bob.
It feels this site is an outlet to be a pressure release valve for voices. I prefer a pressure release valve then having none at all, despite all our posts being data mined and likley added to a secret digital profile or government-ran social credit score system for a cashless society. In a normal world, this would had been a successful website and a direct link to show what the public really wants. Sadly we do not live in normal times and in a normal society. The world around us is sadly an illusion ran by the super elite few and their systems of control and their conditioning of what is supposed to be normal. Sadly it’s all fake and our entire society and government is as fake a margerin butter, but I’m thankful such a website existed.
