Taxes are not going away anytime soon - we have been paying them for centuries, and they are needed and a must if not abused by our government. If we take the focus off ourselves, and put it on our children and the future, we can develop a new system that will help Americans advance and feel a new sense of security unlike they have not felt before. If everyone paid their fair share in taxes (no loopholes, flat rate, no exceptions) for the next half century or so, we could place these funds in an investment backed by America’s leading companies and resources - something similar to an ETF. This would mean the tax funds would go along with and be at the mercy of the market, but historically, our market grows at a substantially high rate and always corrects itself. I truly believe that as this fund grew, not only could we help more people with the funding, but we could eliminate the burden of taxes all together - maybe not in our lifetime, but in our children’s.
