Get rid of tax for suppressors. 200 dollar tax is insane on suppressor
Hearing Protection: Suppressors significantly reduce noise levels, protecting the hearing of shooters and those around them, especially in indoor ranges or hunting environments.
Adding my vote here. The vast majority of suppressors only decrease the noise (to a safe (hearing) level). The little whisper sounds you see in the movies are not realistic – you still get a bang. That being said, a suppressed firearm may save someone’s hearing someday (I have hearing loss due to shooting firearms when I was younger (and more stupid) without hearing protection – suppressors would have saved my hearing). With that in mind, these components should have never been subject to a tax stamp ($200) and registration. Get rid of the requirement – maybe Elon and Vivek with Trump will simply eliminate the ATF altogether: a better solution!!
