Summary of Proposed Bills

Any proposed bill should be required to be accompanied by a short one or two page summary explanation of the bill as well as a bullet list of any main points that is easy to understand and read and should be made public (create a website for this purpose).

The information should be made available at least one week before being presented to Congress for a vote. Members of Congress should be required to review these summaries prior to voting and voting should be mandatory for all members of Congress for every vote either in person or by proxy.

They should no longer have the option to abstain from voting. The results of the vote, including the vote cast by each member should also be made public on the site so the people can see exactly what their representative voted for.
