Policy Proposal: Reforming Taxation and Prioritizing Equitable Public Investment
This policy seeks to stop taxing the poor and halt unnecessary bailouts to the wealthy and large corporations. Instead, it aims to shift government spending toward initiatives that directly benefit working-class families, public infrastructure, education, and social welfare programs. The policy draws inspiration from several examples, including the $10 billion bailout to Jeff Bezos’ space program, as well as other instances where large sums have been allocated to corporate bailouts, leaving ordinary people burdened with taxes and public debt.
