Somebody has to look into BLM. They are systematically eliminating outdoor recreational shooting. As with all liberal endeavors they are doing it under the guise of helping outdoor shooters by building “shooting ranges”. The ranges are nothing more than confined areas, only useful to new shooters who know very little. They are built on public land using public money, and BLM just discovered they can’t afford them, so they published fees for the ranges. This is a flagrant violation of the Dingle act, and it appears that the Phoenix office knew that since they removed a video that stated the people own the land and they are just stewards of it.

How is this being achieved? BLM is not a government agency, and they have no power to create fees on property they don’t own. They are doing nothing to cause this, and even if they were, it wouldn’t be illegal or immoral.
Just like everything else Bureaucrats do, “it’s for the shooters”. But the real story is it’s a land grab to eliminate recreational shooting on public lands. They tout the shooting ranges to the novice shooters and FUDDs, who all rave because they can take their new Glock and AR out with no targets, blast away, not pick up their casings, and leave.
They Published impacting 539 acres. The day before the first of the three ranges opened, they amended their publication to over 5,500 acres closed to shooting only, all other activities allowed, in and around their ranges.
The following is a presentation we made to BLM to get them to reopen the surrounding land that we’ve shot on for almost 40 years. “we will look into it”, that was a year ago and crickets.
To demonstrate some of the idiocy of “we are from the government, and we are here to help you”, this picture encapsulates it.
First an explanation. They installed a Handicapped parking pad in a 2" loose bolder parking lot. A handicapped person has to traverse that to get to the path leading to the shooting platform. The path at the top is what BLM installed. it is a steep grade on a loose gravel path. The grade and the loose gravel violated the Americans with Disabilities Act. When we pointed that out to them. They graded the switchback path at the bottom, which almost doubles the distance but cuts down the incline to meet federal ADA regulations.
It took us shooting dweebs to point it out to the federal authorities who paid millions for engineering. That is just one example of waste of our money on a marginally useful facility.
This does seem like a huge waste of land space. But what does that have to do with BLM? That should be about the people constructing and approving the access way.
It should be accessible, and it shouldn’t waste the resources like that. But you’re going after the wrong people here.
It’s because BLM is nothing but gay faggots causing problems and sole purpose in life is to be pains in everyone’s asses.

In the context that this thread is discussing, BLM is the Bureau of Land Management, an office in the Department of the Interior that is responsible for managing the “Public” lands.
This has nothing to do with Black Lives Matter.
What it has to do with BLM is simple. They are a government agency with a government opinion. We met with AZ BLM management several times. In a private meeting, myself and one other gentleman, the head of BLM asked us “who do you think owns that land?”
We said “the public”. He said “NO, the president, his boss owns the land. You see that big, beautiful football stadium sitting out there, if the president, my boss, decided there was a mineral that we needed, we would tear that stadium down.”
Now consider that the BLM built these ranges using public funds from public tax dollars, on public land maintained by public tax dollars, and has since published intended fees for the use of these facilities because they are too expensive to maintain with their current budget.
In any private business spending that kind of money, then being surprised about the amount of money it takes to maintain it would be cause for termination and perhaps a bankruptcy filing. In government it is cause for promotion because the intent was to stop shooting on public lands, not enhance the sport.

I apologize, I have seen a lot of people equate DEI and their policies to Black Lives Matter, and I got confused.
Still agree that they need to regulate how this is done in order to provide this access using the least amount of resources possible, but again ask the question of exactly where the requirement of the ramp being in that exact formation comes from and how we can fix it?
If there were logical discussion we would love to talk and come to agreement on solutions and implement.
I will give you a perfect example of the bull-crap we are being fed with something easy.
I told the head of BLM in AZ that Cell phone coverage was spotty on all 3 new ranges on the west side. That is absolutely stupid for a shooting range where a severe accident is possible.
We were told. “NO PROBLEM” The big carriers, singular AT&T, and Verizon always come to us asking for land to put towers on. We will just tell them to put towers close to the three ranges to insure we have coverage out there.
Well it’s been over a year and No problem must have turned into big problem or they were blowing smoke top get rid of us. Talk to a volunteer RSO out there about calling someone of authority, because they have none to handle a rowdy situation… See what they say.
The ranges are crap, at best. The get good reviews from the hoodies, self-proclaimed bass-asses, and FUDDs that shoot 3 times a year if that.
I would think you would want to keep blm land free of new infrastructures, not invite more.

Sounds like boomer logic where you are trying to reason with bureaucrats who aren’t being transparent, or forthright with the law, their rights, or yours. And then you end up asking FOR the very things you did not want on the first place.
You need to know the law for that area and issue, and contact Amon Bundy, and find out where their issues left off. They were trying to continue to graze cattle on land that HARRY REID promised to the Chinese the install solar farms on is what I heard.
Maybe you have some faggot politician trying to close a sweetheart deal in your area too.
