Lower the age to receive social security. We pay our whole life for a benefit that we can’t receive until we are too old to enjoy! Some of us even pass away before receiving this benefit! I know the age was once 55. How does the government justify holding that money forcing most to work well beyond their agile years. Can we change this???

I agree! My husband has been a full-time paramedic since 1988. He just turned 60, but still has to wait another 5 years to retire. He’s tired. Wish so much they would lower the retirement age to at least 60 so he can enjoy the rest of his life and his grandchildren with full benefits.
