The US House and Senate receive healthcare and pensions for life. They should instead be offered SS and Medicare for their retirement and use Obama Care while sitting in office. If they are ousted before X number of years, or the term limits, they don’t get any benefits. If they serve 10+ years or whatever term limits are enacted, they are eligible for full SS and Medicare. Plus, they must pay into these funds like all Americans.
This way, they will vote to improve their benefits and all of America!

I agree with the medicare and SS, however Obama Care needs to be dismantled or overhauled. Our healthcare has declined with its implementation. Physicians hands were tied to government overreach and compensation decresed. Congress members ahould be able to purchase their own Health ins (as any working american). Term limits should allow them to work in the private sector (paying into SS) for many years before and/or after serving and they can retire just as we all do. Now, if you serve in congress for more than 5 yrs, then maybe wxtra compensation per year of service at retirement.

I used to be able to afford health care, then the affordable care act was passed and now it’s priced out of my range. Funny how that happens.

Better yet … Congress shall pass no law for the people that does not equally apply to themselves; and Congress shall pass no law for themselves that does not equally apply to the people. This covers all exemptions they may attempt for themselves.

I say they should only be able to serve no more than 20 years, and the American people should not be responsible for supplying their healthcare insurance. I also believe they should be made to retire at age sixty five. That way maybe we can get fresh new ideas instead of the same old bs being pushed year after year. Because we know trickle down economics don’t work but they keep giving big corporations & billionaires tax breaks expecting them to pass that on to their employees, they never do. They give it to their CEO in huge bonuses & shares in their companies. People need to stop voting for the same people expecting a different outcome, it’s not going to happen. We’ve been stuck with people like Mitch McConnell, Chuck Grassley, Nancy Polosi, for way too long, these folks are close to 90 years old if not older. What new ideas can these folks bring to the table NONE!! We’re not living in the 1930s-1040s anymore.
