Remove the cap on the collection of the Social Security tax, which is set to the first $174,900 in earnings for 2025. By removing this cap, those who make more contribute more and would in turn be eligible for higher benefit payment upon retirement.
Remove any ability to “borrow” from the fund for any purpose.
This would greatly increase deposits to the fund and secure its longevity for current and future generations.
