Currently, it is NOT illegal for a politician to lie to the American public, or on TV or in writing. They wrote a waiver in allowing them to get away with the crime, if they were “doing their jobs”.
Create a law that requires the House or Senate or employee / intern of to validate information before it is presented to the public or the House/Senate.
Similar to the “Truth in advertising” law, that they excluded themselves from. When this law was created, the advertisers were aghast with the ramifications. Then when companies were fined under this law, they complied quickly.
