After the catastrophic events from Maui, to Helene, and to Hurricane Harvey, we need to help families rebuild after devastation. Many Americans are not covered by policies that would protect their largest financial investment, their homes, for a variety of reasons. It may be they do not qualify because they are not within a 1000 year flood plan, they can’t afford it, they are refused coverage, or whatever the reason may be. A plan needs to be developed to assist families that have lost everything. Enough to help them rebuild. More than a loan and more than a $750 check.
