The cost of needed medications in the USA is way more expensive than the same medication in other countries. Make them affordable for all

I went to the ER for severe back spasms. I got checked in, they put me on IV did a urinalysis and a CT Scan. All was normal. After being on IV for 30 mins my spasms disappeared and googled why. Turned out I was dehydrated. After 4 hours I was released with no explanation or solution and a prescription for pain meds. A few weeks later I received my bill from my insurace. (See pic) My total cost was $39,550. My portion to pay is $3,297. The care I received is not even worth my portion. Only in America!
My friend is working 3 jobs and still cannot afford her medication for lupus and other autoimmune diseases.
Our tax dollars fund the R&D for the drugs the pharmaceutical companies produce. Insulin is an example of a product that was obtained from the pancreas of slaughtered cows and pigs, a byproduct of food source. Then, the R&D bioweapon agents messed with a virus and we were gifted with āMad Cow Diseaseā. SO they removed patients from a plentiful, naturally occurring source of life saving āmedicationā and āgifted usā with something that is manufactured from- an e. coli bacterium. (Thatās the stuff you produce in your intestines).
Big Pharma is not worried about what is good and necessary. They are focused on the $. If you look at the donors to every politicianās campaign (fec.gov site) they are heavily influenced by those who pay them a tithe.
Hopefully there will be some legislative changes on the issue with RFK Jr being involved in this aspect of governance. The problem is Big Pharma is not going to like the loss of the milk cow and will fight it every step of the way.
